Competitors like Mercedes-Benz's electric GLC are facing similar demand surges, prompting three-shift operations and weekend overtime at their plants. Both models signal a maturing electric SUV segment where premium features and reliable range are winning over skeptics. BMW's electric sales rose last year despite the iX3 not yet being in showrooms, pointing to a bright future as more Neue Klasse vehicles roll out, including the i3 sedan.
