KC Tyagi Makes Surprise Switch to RLD

KC Tyagi, a prominent figure in Indian politics for decades, has officially joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) just days after resigning from the Janata Dal (United), or JD(U). The move came on Sunday in New Delhi, where he was welcomed by RLD president and Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary. Tyagi, who helped found JD(U) in 2003 through the merger of the Samata Party and Janata Dal, stepped away from the party on March 17 without giving a specific reason.
